Heavy Duty Bituminous Slip Material For Bearing Piles

SmartBitu SM is a heavy-duty slip material for bearing piles. Its viscous and elastic properties allow it to act like a hard rubber under the impact of piling hammer blows, thus protecting the pile against failure.

    FIELDS OF APPLICATION

    Highly effective when used for piling subject to negative skin friction and superimposed soil loading. SmartBitu SM prevents structural load transfer from piling to adjacent sensitive underground structures such as rail tunnels.

    It also prevents frictional loading on buried surfaces as in basements, tunnels, old foundations and sheet piling; “clay-heave” situations in piles building foundations and other situation where relative movement between soil and buried surfaces may cause unacceptable additional loading.

SmartSeal PS-2

Polysulphide Sealant

SmartSeal PS-2 is a two component, low modulus, chemically curing polysulphide joint sealant developed specifically for dynamic joints. It is based on a liquid polysulphide polymer which when mixed with the hardener, cures to form a tough rubber like seal.

SmartSeal PS-2 exhibits excellent adhesion to most surfaces and has good resistance to most chemicals & weather conditions.

SmartSeal PS-2 is available in both gun and pouring grades. The gun grade is suitable for vertical and/or curing agent in correct proportions. The pouring grade is suitable for horizontal application and is available in 4 litre packs with base and curing-agent in separate tins.

SmartSeal PU-SW

Polyurethane Swell-able Sealant

SmartSeal PU-SW is a grey, elastic water swell-able paste which is applied like a sealant. The hydrophilic properties of SmartSeal PU- SW display good consistency in swell rate during repeated wet / dry cycling. Expansion of the product on contact with water creates a positive pressure against the faces of the concrete joint, thus preventing the passage water.

    • SmartSeal PU-SW can be used as an adhesive for bonding or as a problem-solving hydrophilic solution in difficult to access areas such as sealing around joints in pre-cast manhole covers cable ducts and piping etc.

High Chemical Resistance, Self-Leveling Polyurethane Pavement Joint Sealant

SmartPU-SL is a 2-component self-leveling polyurethane sealant suitable for the sealing and maintenance of joints in concrete roads, concrete runways and hard standings. The excellent fuel resistance of SmartPU-SL makes it particularly suitable for sealing areas where fuel and oil spillage might occur. SmartPU-SL complies with U.S. Federal Specification SS-S-200E and CAN/CGSB 19.20-M87 Type 2.
